VIDEO: Petsmart says animals uninjured in Sunday morning storms


McCLELLAN IS STANDING BY. I SAW SOME PEOPLE WALKING IN WITH PET CARRIERS, AND THOSE WERE ALL CARRYING CATS THAT THIS PET SMART HELPS WITH FOUR ADOPTIONS. THEY ARE ALSO REMOVING ALL THE OTHER ANIMALS, PUTTING REPTILES, BIRDS, FISH AND EVEN TURTLES ARE IN THE BACK OF THESE PICKUP TRUCKS THAT ARE MAKING MOVED. THEY ARE JUST GOING TO A DIFFERENT PET SMART AND JUST DOING THIS TO KEEP THEM SAFE BECAUSE WE DO NOT HAVE POWER HERE. THERE’S ANOTHER THING THAT I WANT TO SHOW YOU, ACROSS THE PARKING LOT, WE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THE DAMAGE THROUGHOUT THE MORNING. THERE ARE THESE LITTLE CLEANUP AREAS, YOU CAN SEE THE NAILS HERE THAT WERE PULLED OUT AND, YOU CAN SEE THIS ONE ACTUALLY HAS BEEN BENT AS IT PULLED OUT. THIS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT IS BENT, AND YOU CAN SEE THE FORCE THAT THESE WINDS CAME THROUGH. IT’S ACTUALLY STARTING TO RAIN OUT HERE. WE’VE SEEN POWER POLES AND STREETLIGHTS GETTING REPAIRED AND IT WILL BE A SEVERAL DAY TYPE OF CLEANUP AS WE TRY TO GET 41st ST. CLEAR. SO BETWEEN YALE AND SHERIDAN ON 41st ST.
