Students donate food to shelter

TELL US.. A LITTLE BIT
ABOUT IT.
IT’S ABOUT GREAT
KIDS – DOING GREAT
THINGS – FOR OTHER
KIDS.
A SCHOOL HELPING
THE FOOD RESCUE
PROGRAM – NOT JUST
WHEN CLASSES ARE IN
SESSION – BUT ALSO
DURING THE SUMMER.
WE WENT TO WHEELER
MISSION’S WOMEN AND
CHILDREN’S CENTER
TODAY.
THAT’S WHERE
DONATED HEALTHY
FOOD AND MILK.. IS
HELPING FAMILIES IN
NEED.
THIS FOOD WAS SAVED
FROM GOING IN THE
TRASH.
UNOPENED AND
UNWANTED ITEMS..
FROM STUDENTS IN
PIKE TOWNSHIP.

“WE JUST DECIDED TO
KEEP THE PROGRAM
GOING SEAMLESSLY
THROUGHOUT THE
SUMMER JUST BECAUSE
WE RECOGNIZE THIS
HUNGER ISSUE, SAVING
OUR PLANET, IT’S NOT A
PART-TIME JOB. IT’S
SOMETHING WE HAVE TO
DO THROUGHOUT THE
YEAR.”
THE NUMBER OF FOOD
ITEMS RESCUED THIS
SUMMER IS PRETTY
IMPRESSIVE.
WE’LL SHOW YOU THE
IMPACT ON FAMILIES..
COMING UP AT 5:45.
