Keep your horse perpendicular to the corpse. Try to keep most of the horse above the body, this is as far “forward” it should be. Skin! Next is a half animation. This will occur if your horse is not properly aligned. Enough to stop half the cutting. Not much of a time-save considering how much set up is required.
Is the horse degrading the quality? Or are you not killing 3 star?

You guys are the type who are so boring and don't want to enjoy realistic games… go back and play red dead revolver if that's the case. To skip skinning, to fast travel and rush through everything. Wow you really should stick with hand holding linear paced games.
