Pest control employees sentenced Thursday


THE JUDGE ISSUED THE SENTENCE. WHITNEY: THE FUMIGATED OR’S WALKED THESE STEPS BUT THEY WERE TAKEN OUT OF COURT IN THE CUSTODY OF U.S. MARSHALS. THEY ARE HEADED TO PRISON. A JUDGE ORDERED THEY SPEND A YEAR BEHIND BARS.>>THESE ARE SERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES. THEY COULD HAVE BEEN A LOT WORSE FOR EVERYBODY. WHITNEY: THEIR LAWYERS CALLED SENTENCING IN THIS FORT PIERCE FEDERAL COURT THURSDAY TOUGH BUT FAIR>>IT’S AN EARTH SHATTERING EVENT, SO THEY’RE UPSET AND WHITNEY: THE MAXIUM FOR THE PLEA DEAL JUDGE JOSE MARTINEZ CALLED LENIENT, DESPITE UNUSAL AND EMPASSIONED FROM PLEAS FROM WILLIAMS.>>HE WANTED THE JUDGE TO KNOW HE HAD ALREADY APOLOGIZED TO THE DAD OF THE CHILD THEY THEY PRAYED OVER IT AND PRAYED TOGETHER. WHITNEY: EVEN HIS WIFE CHIMED IN. SHE DIDNT WANT TO FACE US, BUT SHE TOLD THE JUDGE WILLIAMS IS AN AWESOME FATHER WHO NOW CRIES EVERY NIGHT AND EVERY DAY FOR THIS LITTLE BOY, 10-YEAR-OLD PEYTON MCCAUGHEY. WILLIAMS AND CURRY WORKED AT THE NOW DEFUNCT SUNLAND PEST CONTROL BACK IN AUGUST WHEN THE COMPANY FUMIGATED PEYTON’S HOUSE IN PALM CITY. PEYTON GOT SICK AFTER THE FAMILY WAS TOLD IT WAS SAFE TO GO BACK INSIDE. THE FUMIGATORS PLED GUILTY FOR THEIR ROLE IN HIS POISONING. SUNLAND WENT OUT OF BUSINESS, BUT THE JUDGE ORDERED FIVE YEARS OF PROBATION IF SUNLAND WERE EVER TO RESURFACE. THE EMPLOYEES IN PRISON ALSO FACED WITH A YEAR OF PROBATION WHEN THEY GET OUT IN 2017. PEYTON SUFFERED BRAIN DAMAGE AN NEARLY A YEAR LATER, FAMILY SAYS HE’S STILL RECOVERING. THE FAMILY’S LOSSES HAS STILL NOT BEEN DETERMINED BUT THEY
