LOTH-CATS (Canon) – Star Wars Explained

Hey everybody and welcome to Leia’s Lair. In light of their appearance in chapter 4
of the Mandalorian, we are going to go over what exactly Loth-cats are. Loth-cats are members of the tooka family,
and native to Lothal, often found in the grassy plains of the Outer Rim planet. They’re small, temperamental creatures, and
while at times friendly, are still able hunters (who feast on Loth-rats) with sharp teeth
and claws. They have an average length of about 1 meter
and weigh around 10kg. They have a large mouth but small eyes that
becomes bigger when they are stressed, threatened or comfortable. Unlike the Tooka’s, Loth-cats appear to
more wild and less likely to be domesticated. Around 34 ABY, Loth-cats were imported to
the planet Batuu and sold as pets in the Creature Stall at Black Spire Outpost. Certain Loth cats are known to have special
connections to the Force. In Rebels, the white Loth-cat acted as a guide
for Ezra Bridger when he returned to Lothal. It was able to manifest itself in Ezra’s
force visions, and helped him complete various tasks while on Lothal. As mentioned above, Loth cats first make their
appearance in Star Wars Rebels. However, a Loth-cat is also seen within a
common house on the planet Sorgan in the fourth episode of the Mandalorian. And there you have it! Thanks for watching everyone. What do you think about Loth-cats? Let me know down below in the comment section! And remember to like, share, and subscribe
