  1. Thank you for this wonderful video on how to brush your dogs teeth ! I learned a lot and the video made it easy to see and learn. Much appreciated.

  2. Thank you so much for helping me. My little dog has such bad breath and NOW I know why. nobody .. not even my vet .. told me to brush her teeth when I got her. Friends with dogs said it was normal for all dogs to have bad breath n to just give them fresh chicken necks. hmmm .. THAT didn't work!! (but she loves them anyway .. n they DESTROY her poops, ewww). I bought her 'supposed' doggie dental sticks that dogs 'LOVE'. Well .. my Bells HATED them so lots of money wasted there too. So I cannot thank you enough for this informative and instructional video. Brand new and VERY happy subscriber here.

  3. Just grab their snout n use some normal toothpaste, not every day obviously but dogs eat weird shit all the time toothpaste wont kill em….

  4. I'd rather not brush my dogs teeth, they didn't do it in the old days and the dogs don't die from having a few less teeth in their mouth.

  5. Working up to brushing daily is ideal. But if her mouth is healthy, even three days a week can make a difference. Without brushing, plaque can build up, putting your dog at risk for bad breath, gum disease, and tooth decay. It can also cause painful infection. Severe infection can spread, causing life-threatening conditions

  6. Excellent video on brushing dogs teeth…..I know this is a dumb question, but do you do upper and lower teeth? I know you'll say yes, but I want to make sure.
    Thanks for all your advise

  7. I downvoted this because it shows how 2 people can brush a dog's teeth. Most people don't have a veterinary assistant haning around their house.

  8. My dog is a large breed(husky) and she doesn’t like her teeth brushed,it’s not the tooth paste bc she’ll lick it off the brush but won’t let me actually brush I have to hold her down and force her mouth open to brush them which is difficult because as I said she’s a large breed

  9. This was very helpful, esp regarding only needing to brush the outer side of their teeth, and that most tartar buildup is there. I’m trying to get my mini doxie used to toothbrushing and iits a slow process. So glad I don’t need to worry about trying to to do the inner side, her mouth is teeny tiny!

I was concerned about back problems when we got her and the breeder said bad teeth are equally bad for doxies.

  10. It is strange how our mums, dads and grandparents never ever cleaned their dogs teeth or ears, yet 2009 and up till now 2019 everybody is told that it must be done?????????????

  11. My dog loves eating out on the cats litter box. So to make this easier, I add a little baking soda and peroxide to the cats food. This way, when the dog eats the cats poop, it also cleans his teeth! Viola!

  12. I cant believe my mother has spent 5 years telling me that dogs dont get or need their teeth brushed. Im absolutely furious. My poor fur baby

  13. This looks so simple when the model dog is like 8 lbs. What am I supposed to do when I have to battle my 90 lb GSD/Husky mix?

  14. Our grand parents would think we're weird for brushing a dog's teeth. Only in America. In Vietnam they eat dogs. We've never brushed any of our dog's teeth and they've all been just fine and happy.

  15. This actually has been extremely helpful! Starting with letting me know that it is perfectly fine (and correct) to only do the outsides of my Cocoa's teeth.

  16. This would be great and all if I didnt have to put my dog asleep to brush his teeth. No way I'm getting anywhere near those while he's awake. No thank you ?

  17. brush my dogs teeth daily but wasn't sure for how long. I've just been doing a few swipes both upper and lower on outsides and then the front teeth. I think hers is bacon flavor and she's always wanting to lick the brush even after I've done her teeth. thanks for the video ?

  18. I adopted a senior dog with rotten teeth and it was so sad. She was an amazing dog, though. Now that she has passed on, I have another younger dog (70lbs heeler mix) and she is not a big chewer, I noticed her breath was getting stinky (dogs shouldn't really have human grade morning breath lmao). So I bought dog toothpaste (mint, at the store there was no other flavor) and soft toothbrushes (I got a pack of 6 "first toothbrushes" for humans and they work really well for my dog, next time I will get the kind in this video) and I brush her teeth every day now. She loves it! She wouldn't mind me doing it 2x or 3x daily but I'm not sure she should eat so much doggy toothpaste, which she loves the mint flavor for some reason! I put a pea size squirt and do one side of her mouth then another pea size squirt and do the other side. Then I do my own teeth after. It's our ritual and she loves it. She gets so excited when I pull her toothbrush out. Her teeth and breath are in better shape now.

  19. This is really helpful. I was trying to brush the inside of the teeth, and it wasn't working. Just doing the outside is so much easier. Thank you.

  20. Lol I never really got my dog to get used to brushing her teeth. Anytime she sees the tooth brush she runs away. Last time I brushed her teeth she took the toothbrush out of my hand and destroyed it!

  21. Whaaaat I'D RATHER BRUSH MY TEETH RATHER THAN AN DOG WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU??!???????HUMANITY IS FALLING APART

  22. I need to begin brushing my dog's chops, and man, oh man…..but I hope the procedure goes as easily as it appears in this video. Right about now, I'm picturing me with a bloody stump where my digits used to happily exist!

  23. This is super dope. I haven't ever really brushed my doggos teeth and i wanted to start taking better care of the doggo so i did a little research all around about the care of doggos and please if anyone has some good things that i can do for my doggo please tell me

  24. Is it impossible for people to just get to the brushing? Lol. We’re 3/4 through the video before the ‘how to brush your dogs teeth’ actually begins!!

  25. Thanks for the video! I did this once already and thought I did it wrong or not long enough because it didn't foam up like human toothpaste. She liked the peanut butter flavor so hopefully she won't mind having them brushed daily. ?

  26. I just use these dental treats from amazon. They work like magic!

  27. I got my dog from my dads mom and she gave him to us with extremely bad teeth, and years later he does not let us brush his teeth and it’s really bad. 🙁

  32. The video makes it look relatively easy; so, I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the demonstration and wish me luck with my foxhound and yorkie.

  33. Im not sure if this was mentioned in the video, but NEVER give your dog human toothpaste because it contains a substance that is toxic to your dog. (Again, sorry if this was already mentioned in the video ?)
