Biglerville woman facing 24 counts of animal cruelty; Animals up for adoption


FIRE CHIEF SAYS THE COLD WEATHER DID NOT PLAY A ROLE. RON: NEW INFORMATION ON SEVERAL ANIMALS FOUND IN A MAKESHIFT KENNEL IN ADAMS COUNTY LAST MONTH. SOME OF THE 17 DOGS HAVE ALREADY BEEN ADOPTED. THE ADAMS COUNTY SPCA IS TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR FUTURE ADOPTIONS. MOST OF THE ANIMALS WERE SICK OR UNDERWEIGHT. ONE OF THE DOG, GINGER, HAD A LIFE-THREATENING INFECTION. SHE HAD SURGERY LAST WEEK AND IS RECOVERING. THE DOG WAS ADOPTED BY THE OWNER OF THE CAT AND VETERINARY HOSPITAL WHO OFFERED ITS SERVICES TO TREAT THE GREAT DANE. THE SPCA IS ALSO ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS TO FIND HOMES FOR THE EIGHT GOATS GOATS AND THREE PIGS THAT WERE REMOVED.
