TAMI: 22NEWS REPORTER TAYLOR KNIGHT IS LIVE IN LUDLOW, WHERE POLICE SAID THE CATS WERE BEING KEPT IN DEPLORABLE CONDITIONS. TAYLOR: THAT WOMAN IS FACING A FELONY ANIMAL CRUELTY CHARGE AFTER 21 CATS WERE FOUND INSIDE THIS ABANDONED HOME YOU CAN SEE BEHIND ME ON WEST STREET. LT. DANIEL VALADAS TOLD 22NEWS 42 YEAR OLD CARRIE DOUTHWRIGHT WAS ARRESTED, AND CHARGED WITH FELONY ANIMAL CRUELTY. POLICE RESCUED 21 CATS FROM HER ABANDONED HOME HERE ON WEST STREET LAST WEEKEND. NEIGHBORS SAID NO ONE HAS BEEN LIVING HERE SINCE LAST MAY. LT. VALADAS SAID THE CATS WERE FOUND IN “UNINHABITABLE CONDITIONS” AMID GARBAGE AND CLUTTER INSIDE THE HOUSE. SEVERAL OF THEM WERE IN VERY POOR HEALTH, BUT ALL OF THEM WERE ALIVE. THE CATS ARE BEING TREATED AT AN M-S-P- C-A ANIMAL CARE AND ADOPTION CENTER IN BOSTON.
